Shingle Roofing

Architectural shingles are the workhorse of TN roofing — wind-rated, algae-resistant, and available in colours that suit every neighbourhood from Knoxville to the coast.

Straight about this job

What you get

Installed to the printed instructions

A shingle's wind rating is earned by the install, not by the box: nail line, nail count, starter course, sealed ridge. We build to the manufacturer's published instructions and photograph the details that disappear under the next course.

Wind-rated for the Gulf South

High-wind shingle systems exist for exactly this coast, and they only perform to their rating when the fastening pattern underneath them matches the one on the wrapper.

The best value per year of life

The trade generally reckons architectural shingles at twenty to thirty years of service life, at the lowest installed cost of any system we fit. That is why most of the roofs on your street are shingle.

Straight answers

Shingle Roofing — the questions we get

How long does a shingle roof last in Louisiana?

Realistically twenty to thirty years for architectural shingles, depending on ventilation, sun exposure, and storms. Good attic ventilation is the difference between the low and the high end of that range.

What shingle brands do you install?

Whatever suits the roof and is genuinely available — colour lots run dry across a whole region after a big storm, so the honest answer changes month to month. We bring samples to your table, name the trade-offs, and do not steer you towards one brand because of an arrangement with it.

What warranty comes with a shingle roof?

Two separate things: the manufacturer's own product warranty, whose terms come from the manufacturer's documentation, and our workmanship terms, which are written into your contract before you sign it. We do not print a warranty length on a banner, because the one that matters is the one with your name on it.
